Transferring an original contracted day(s) to make up sport schedules, after school clubs, holidays, no school days, or family vacation will be billed in addition to your monthly contract.

Preschool parents: please look at slow start schedule when you receive it. You will need to order extra blocks of time to cover Extended Daycare if using it when your child would normally be attending Montessori preschool during these few weeks.

Sept. 4th – is a non-contracted day for preschool, Noon-dismissal for Grades K-8

Sept.5th – is extra block for Preschool slow start and Grade K

Summer FUN

Dear XDC families,

Our Summer program is underway and were having a blast!

During our first 3 weeks of camp the children have enjoyed lots of outdoor/water play, crafts and field trips. In the up coming weeks we will be adding Bike days on Tuesdays and continuing with field trips. (Woodland Park, Greenwood fire station, Regal cinema, Greenwood library, etc.)

March 18th 2019

Dear XDC families,

This will be our first full week in our amazing new building! Last week the children enjoyed exploring the new space, learning new transitions and lots of free play.  We look forward to finishing out the school year in our new space as we are preping for our first Summer in Quigley.

March 11th 2019

Dear Families,

The wait is over! The Department of Early Learning has officially granted our license allowing us to occupy the new Quigley building. Opening day in our new facility is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, 2019!

Things to know and a few reminders:

  • Extended Daycare will reside in the Quigley building. The ground floor and the lower level of the building will be the primary spaces utilized by the program.
  • Continue the practice of parking on 79th St. and escorting your child to the newly remodeled Quigley building. If choosing to park on N. 80thSt., please avoid parking in the Disabled Parking spots (white painted curb). The City may impose a $450 fine if you are parked illegally in these spots.
  • The main entrance is in the breezeway on the east side of the Quigley, adjacent to the parking lot. Look for the purple doors and the secure entry located on the east side of the building.
  • Parents/guardians must ring the call box to gain entrance into the building. The call box is located on the exterior of the building near the purple entry doors. Once staff verifies who is at the door, the left door will unlock for entry.
  • Please enter the building to sign your child in and/or out. The logbook will be located on the counter of the reception window in the entry. If your child has been collected from another building on campus or the playground, you must still report to the main reception in Quigley as children must be signed out in the logbook by a parent or appointed adult.
  • Extended Daycare is a nut free building. Please – no nut products in lunches or snacks.
  • Attention preschool parents with children in the afternoon XDC program (11:15pm-3:00pm): Extended Daycare administration is requesting that all preschoolers not contracted through XDC after 3pm, be collected at or before 3pm and before sibling(s) in the main school building. This policy specifically ensures safe transitions between the Preschool, School, and Extended Daycare programs after 3pm. This will maintain classroom ratios and safety for all students. Preschool students not under contract and not collected at or before 3pm will incur late fees of $1.00 per minute.

Contact number for XDC reception is: 206-782-9915. Email the Co-Directors at: roverby@st-johnschool.org or kchandler@st-johnschool.org.

We are so excited and are looking forward to greeting you in our new space.

Sincerely,
