Dear XDC Families,

This week our theme was “bugging out.” Students in XDC enjoyed working on “bug themed” activities and crafts. Some of the students’ favorite projects this week were; catching bugs in jars, making coffee-filter “butterflies,” “water-relays,” and “water-day play” with water-balloons. The students’ favorite snack this week was a summer “fruit salad.”

Next week our theme is “Tropical Paradise.”

Friday, August 5th: XDC PreK-5th grade will be going on a field trip to The Seattle Children’s Museum. There will be permission forms available on the XDC sign-in desk.

Dear XDC Families,

This week our theme was “Stars & Stripes.” Students in XDC enjoyed working on “Stars & Stripes” themed activities and crafts. Some of the students’ favorite projects this week were; making red, white and blue “wind-chimes,” creating a class flag using handprints and painting “fireworks.”

Next week our theme is “Treasure Island.” Students in XDC will work on “Treasure Island” themed crafts and activities.

  • XDC Kindergarten through fifth grade will be going on a Field Trip on Thursday, July 7th. You can find permission forms on the XDC sign-in counter.

Dear XDC Families,

This week our theme was “Welcome Summer.” Students in XDC enjoyed participating in “summer themed” activities and our first “summer field trip.” Some of the students’ favorite projects this week were; “paper-mache watermelons,” “windmills” and tie-dye shirts.

Next week our theme is “Stars and Stripes.”

  • Tuesday is “Bike Day.” Students may bring a bike or scooter with a helmet to XDC.
  • Wednesday is “Western Day.” Wear “western themed” clothes.
  • Thursday is a “Field Trip Day.” XDC is going to the “Title Boxing Club” (Greenwood). You can find permission forms on the XDC counter in the morning.
  • Friday is “Red, White and Blue Day.” Wear red, white and blue clothing.

XDC Summer reminder to parents:

  • Every day is “Water Day.” Students in XDC may bring a change of clothes, shoes and a towel for water-play outside.
  • Every Tuesday is “Bike Day.” Students may bring a bike or scooter with a helmet to XDC.
