Dear XDC Families,

We can really feel the spirit of fall in the air, as we head into the eighth week of school already! During the month of October, students in XDC have continued making fall themed projects. This week the theme was “trees.” Some of the students’ favorite activities this week were; blow-painting trees, creating “chicka chicka boom boom trees,” drawing trees, singing tree songs and learning about trees through science exploration.

A look ahead at next week:

Next week the theme is “Halloween.” Students in XDC will begin to make Halloween crafts and science projects!

A reminder to parents:

School is closed on Wednesday, October 28th, Thursday, October 29th and Friday, October 30th for conferences. XDC will be open during that week. As you may have seen on our door, the themes for those days are as follows:

• Wednesday, October 28th is “out to lunch day.” Teachers will chaperone students who want to buy lunch at Taco Del Mar during lunch time. Make sure to send money with your students and sign the permission form!

• Thursday, October 29th is “create props and decorations” for the XDC Halloween carnival.

• Friday, October 30th is “Halloween Carnival day!” A fun day filled with Halloween games and activities!

You can reach the Extended Day Care staff from 7:00 AM-6:30 PM at the following phone numbers:
