St. John Extended Daycare is a ministry of St. John School and provides before and after school care to the children (ages 3-12 ) enrolled in St. John School, as well as those in neighborhood schools as space allows. Our mission is to see children achieve balanced growth physically, emotionally, and intellectually by creating an environment of love and trust. Hours of Operation and Daily Routine
Extended Daycare (XDC), Grades PK-5th Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm year-round with the usual holiday exceptions. Extended Daycare is available for students from age three through twelve.

FEES
Extended care fees are in addition to K-5 and preschool tuition. Additionally:
- There is an Enrollment Fee of $100 per family. This fee is non-refundable unless we are unable to accommodate your child.
- Non-school days are not part of contract fees.

Request to Register for the 2026-2027 School Year for Students in Grades PK-5
Extended Day Care (XDC) is for students in grades Preschool through Five. A minimum of three (3) days per week must be requested.
Please complete the form below to request enrollment. Upon acceptance, you will be notified via email with a link to complete the contract, which must be signed and submitted.
Note:
- All tuition is billed and paid through FinalSite. Tuition for XDC and AFS for the school year is billed in 10 monthly installments, from August 2026 through May 2027, with your school tuition pledge.
- Rates listed for Extended Daycare include only the days school is in full session. Full or partial days are available for those days during the school year that classes are not in session, for an additional charge, and must be ordered on a monthly basis – order forms are available in XDC.
- No refunds or credit will be given for contracted days missed for any reason.
- With 30 days written notice of withdrawal for cause, fees will be prorated through the 30 days after said notice.

XDC NEXT LEVEL (MIDDLE SCHOOL)
XDC Next Level for Students in Grades 6-8
We are pleased to announce the next chapter of After School Studies (AFS): XDC Next Level, an expanded extension of our Extended Day Care program designed specifically for middle school students.
Supervised by XDC staff, XDC Next Level provides students with a welcoming environment where they can complete homework, spend time with friends, and enjoy engaging activities after the school day.
XDC Next Level is offered from 3:05–4:30 p.m. each full school day, Monday through Friday, throughout the school year. The schedule of activities and offerings can be found here.
Program Details:
- Cost is $1912 for the full schedule, Monday through Friday, when school is in session for the full day. Students may attend less than the full schedule; however, families will be billed for the full schedule.
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- End Date: June 4, 2027
- Hours: 3:05-4:30pm
- XDC Next Level will not be in session during Middle School Travel week.
- Attendance is taken daily. Should your student not be in attendance, you will receive a phone call. If your student has a planned absence from the program, please contact the Extended Day Care office at 206-782-9915 with notification or email ddesclos@st-johnschool.org.
- Families will be billed for the annual fee through Finalsite in equal monthly installments October through May. There are no provisions for pausing or suspending billing. If your student is absent due to illness, sports, or other circumstances, billing will continue unless written notice of withdrawal is received. If a student withdraws, the parent/guardian is responsible for all charges through the student’s last day of attendance. This may include attendance days that occur after the most recent billing date and before the next scheduled billing date.
